Dominic mattos
Dominic has been around theatres a long time, as a cabaret singer, professional pantomime dame, and as a countertenor.
As a producer, Dominic has been involved in the runs of shows at the Jermyn Street Theatre, the Hen and Chickens, variety specials at venues across London, the Aldeburgh Music Festival, and runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Dominic also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced five pantomimes at the Chateau de Bettembourg in Luxembourg, and is co-producer for Sleeping Beauty, the first professional pantomime at the Twickenham Exchange, in December 2019.
As a classical singer with an unusual performing background, Dominic is extremely passionate about the diverse opportunities The Opera Makers has to offer singers in supporting their educational and career development both after and outside conservatoire.
Dominic is excited about making great opera in new spaces and, as a relative latecomer to this wonderful art-form, about helping to give others a route into the wild and visceral world of experience and entertainment that opera can offer to all.
